The radial turbine measuring principle is a versatile and reliable method used to quantify the volumetric flow rate of gas in various applications. Due to its configuration, this instrument is capable of measuring flow rates ranging from 3 to 650 m³/h, offering a wide range of application possibilities.
To generate the output signal, the device produces low-frequency pulses with a reed sensor or high-frequency pulses with a NAMUR sensor, ensuring precise and accurate readings.
Installation of this Quantometer is facilitated by connection to the process via a flange in DN 50, DN 80 and DN 100 sizes or via G 1½" or G 2" threads. This flexibility allows easy integration with existing systems.
With its ability to operate at temperatures up to 60°C, the device can provide reliable measurements even in high-temperature environments. Its robust design allows it to withstand a maximum pressure of 6 bar, making it ideal for various industrial applications.
Finally, this instrument can be equipped with an inertial brake, which aims to limit the speed of rotation of the turbine by controlling the inertia of the gas flow through it. When the gas flow enters the device, the turbine starts to turn. Without the inertial brake, the turbine may rotate too fast and it may be difficult to measure the volumetric flow accurately.
