The EE300Ex humidity/temperature transmitter has been designed specifically for measurement in explosion hazard areas.It complies with the classifications for Europe (ATEX), International (IECEx) and USA/Canada (FM). The device can therefore be used both in gas and dust explosion hazard areas.
The 2-part housing concept facilitates simple installation of the humidity transmitter and rapid replacement of the measuring device without time-consuming re-cabling. This means that the EE300Ex can be used directly in an explosion hazard environment in zones 0/20.
The easy-to-clean, elegant stainless steel housing is an important feature for use in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries.
EE300Ex humidity sensor technology provides reliable measurements with long-term stability in challenging industrial applications. One model for wall mounting, a version with up to 10 m remote measurement probe or an optional display make the EE300Ex humidity sensor versatile in usage. The device is designed using 2-wire technology, and the power supply can be provided via any intrinsically safe power supply device. The measurements are issued on 2 analogue outputs with 4÷20mA, whereby the outputs can be easily modified for the relevant measurement task by the user. In addition to the measurements for relative humidity and temperature, the EE300Ex humidity transmitter delivers all standard calculated values, such as dew-point temperature [Td], wet-bulb temperature [Tw], absolute humidity [dv], etc….

Moisture measurement in oil:
In the same way as humidity measurement in air, the EE300Ex can also be used for moisture measurement in oil. The moisture content of an oil can be issued as absolute in [ppm] or relative as water activity [aw].Typical applications for moisture measurement in oil are found in systems for cleaning/drying oil or on oil platforms for online monitoring of lubrication and gear oils.
