Ultrasonic flow meters

Riels ultrasonic flow meters measure liquid flow in closed pipes using high-frequency sound waves. The instrument detects fluid velocity and, using the pipe diameter and configuration parameters, provides values such as volumetric flow rate, totalized volume and liquid velocity. Models equipped for energy measurement can also calculate thermal energy.

This technology is suitable for permanent installations, portable surveys, checks on existing systems and energy-consumption monitoring.
Clamp-on configurations allow the sensors to be mounted on the outside of the pipe, without contacting the fluid or introducing mechanical components into the line. This makes the measurement particularly advantageous on operating pipework or in processes where modifications to the system should be minimized.

The Riels range includes
ultrasonic flow meters in portable, fixed and clamp-on configurations for pipes across a broad range of diameters, with options for monitoring flow rate, volume and thermal energy.
