Openable current transformers with integrated cable output are instruments designed to simplify the monitoring of electric current in existing installations. Their design allows for quick installation without interrupting power flow, making them particularly suitable for retrofits and energy analysis systems.

All models share technical features that ensure reliability and safety: they operate over a wide temperature range, comply with international standards (IEC60044-1), and offer good measurement accuracy over a wide operating range.

A crucial aspect in choosing a model concerns the type of signal output. Which can be:

  • Current output (1A or 5A): compatible with most conventional instruments and more resistant to noise, but requires suitable cables and more careful installation as the resistance of the cable itself affects the measurement.
  • Voltage output (333 mV): easier to install and suitable for connections away from the analyzer, offers greater flexibility but requires compatible instruments and attention to shielding.
