Turbidity is a decrease in the transparency of water, due to the presence of suspended solid substances, consisting of very fine particles, unable to settle in a reasonably short time.

Measurement of the turbidity of liquids in:

primary waters upstream of the treatment plants,
industrial, recirculating waters,
waste water leaving the treatment plant,
industrial waters with high turbidity levels,
waste water containing starch, oils and fats,
Drinking water plants,
Refinement systems for wastewater for agricultural or industrial reuse,
Food industry in particular in the production of drinks, wine, beer etc.
