The HIE-04B USB infrared optical head can be used for communication and configuration of devices such as volume correctors (such as the ElcorPlus). The HIE-04B was designed according to the EN 62056-21 standard (previous IEC-1107 standard) and can communicate with a baud rate of up to 115200 Baud.
This variant replaced the previous version. This is the same optical head with a difference in the USB driver used. The HIE-04B optical head uses a USB driver certified by FTDI.
