RIF945 Ultrasonic flow sensor

Principle of Measurement:

• It uses the ultrasonic Doppler principle to detect water flow velocity, water level and temperature.

For proper operation, the meter must be installed with the sensors facing the direction of flow, and to achieve the described performance, the installation position must have:

• A straight section upstream of the sensor of at least 5 times the width of the pipeline or channel (a section of 10 times the width would be preferable);
• A straight section downstream of the sensor of at least 3 times the width of the pipeline or channel.

In addition if sediment is expected it is necessary to install the sensor in an elevated but common location at least 20 cm deep from the water surface
