The VZD2 is a digital flow and accumulated volume meter designed for use in marine and industrial applications. The device is capable of measuring the flow of liquids with viscosities up to 6 cSt.
Available in 1/8 and 1/4 inch formats, the device is capable of measuring flow rates up to 600 L/h with a precision of ±1.0% of the measured value at pressures up to 25 bar.
The VZD2 has a digital display that allows for easy reading of the flow and can be connected to a remote monitoring system via a pulse output or a serial interface using the Modbus protocol.
The advantages of the VZD2 are:
- The ability to mount the instrument on either the pressure or suction side of a pump
- Space savings as it does not require straight runs upstream or downstream of the instrument
- The ability to mount the device in any position
- Accurate flow and volume reading as it is not affected by the temperature and viscosity of the measured fluid
The VZD2 is used in multiple industrial environments to measure fuel consumption, examples include:
- Measurement in oil burners or diesel boilers for heating
- Optimization of fuel consumption in heavy vehicles, such as ships and trains, and in energy production situations such as in the case of generators.
